The NBA playoffs got underway on Saturday April 14th with 4 games and the next day on Sunday April 15th, 4 games were played as well. The two basketball filled days were packed with action and many surprising outcomes.
The playoff format is a best of 7 format, the first team to win 4 games advances to the next round of the playoffs and these are the up to date results as of April 19th 2018.
The first four results of the playoffs are as stated. The Warriors defeated the Spurs 113-92, the Raptors defeated the Wizards 114-106, the 76er’s defeated the Heat 130-103 and the Pelicans narrowly beat the Trailblazer 97-95.
Day two of the playoffs had another set of 4 games and some great action. The Celtics defeated the Bucks 113-107, in a wild finish that made the game go into overtime, the Pacers defeated the Cavaliers 98-80 helped by the break out performance of Victor Oladipo with 32 pts, the Thunder defeated the Jazz 116-108 and the Rockets defeated the Timberwolves 104-101 with a strong performance from leading MVP candidate James Harden.
Week 2/Game 2 of all the series’s kicked off Monday April 16th just 2 days removed from the first set of games. The Heat beat the 76ers 113-103, the Warriors beat the Spurs 116-101, the Raptors beat the Wizards 130-119 and the Celtics beat the Bucks 120-106.
Tuesday April 17th 4 more games were played and the results of the games as stated. Pelicans beat the Trailblazers 111-102, Cavaliers beat the Pacers 100-97, the Jazz beat the Thunder 102-95 and the Rockets beat the Timberwolves 102-82.
The 3rd series of games started Thursday April 19th and the results are as followed. The 76ers defeated the Heat 128-108, the Pelicans defeated the Trailblazer 119-102 and the Warriors beat the Spurs 110-97. The next games are slated to be played Friday April 20th to finish up the 3rd set of games.
