For you Minnesota Vikings fans out their, as you may know the Vikings look to make history by being the first team to play all 3 play off games at home and win the Super bowl in the home stadium.
The Vikings are having one of their best seasons so far sitting at 13-3 with a number 2 seed in the playoffs. Having a first round bye was crucial for The Vikes so they could get players like Xavier Rhodes and Anthony Barr time to heal.
Minnesota will be facing a different Saints team than what they previously saw before in their Week 1 matchup. Instead of Adrian Peterson at running back it will be Kamara and Ingram in the back field.
But will it be enough to match the number 1 defense in the league? The Vikings have one of the best defenses in franchise history and it just may be the key to their success through out the playoffs.
The offense as well has been producing great numbers this season with quarterback Case Keenum who stepped up after Sam Bradford’s knee injury in the second week of the season. Keenum put The Vikings on an 8 game winning streak this season and helped carry to a 13-3 record.
Players like Adam Thielen and Latavius Murray have stepped up this season as well. Thielen having a tremendous season which sent him to the pro bowl this year. Murray along with backup running back Jerrick McKinnon have been strong on the run game helping Keenum balance the offense and have weapons on every play.
This weeks game will be very tough for the Vikings defense with the power of the run game for The Saints, it will be a true test and a very fun divisional matchup to see who gets to take a NFC championship playoff spot.
Make sure to tune into to the divisional games on Saturday and Sunday. If you are a Minnesota fan. The game will be held Sunday a 3:40pm Central Time! Go Vikes!
