There’s nothing I enjoy more than… driving to target and picking out a new planner for the new year. As 2018 begins everyone has set goals for the new year that they plan to follow. Use a new year as a fresh start in whatever direction you need it.

Maybe 2018 is your fresh start in school. Let’s say first semester was chaotic with homecoming, new classes, or new friend group. Whatever it was, you were not able to buckle down and get school work done. Take this as an opportunity to change that this 2018.

Or maybe it’s the opposite. You could be a little too far in the books. Possibly for you it’s time to break out of your shell and meet some new friends, get out more. Get involved in high school. Go to the school events with friends, enjoy it!

Do something spontaneous this year. Take a girls trip, splurge when your shopping here and there. Whatever it might be enjoy it and just live in the moment, do what makes you happy.

Then there’s always the new years resolution to “get fit”. This could mean all different things for all different people. Try not to be too judgemental towards yourself this year. Steer clear of the scale; and instead think about how you truly feel, because in the end that’s what matters.

So maybe that is working out, going for a run or jog, hiking, changing your eating ways. Self love is very important to have. Keep that in mind when beginning another year.

Actually make a new years resolution this year, and stick to it! Don’t forget about it once the love month rolls around. Yes, they can be hard to stick it; but so worth it in the long run.

Now get in the car, drive to target and buy a planner. To keep all of these new goals and plans organized. Take control of the person you want to become this upcoming year in 2018.
