Monday marked the first games of the season for Monday Night Football. The first game was the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. The night cap game featured the Denver Broncos and the now Los Angeles Chargers. For Broncos fans, this year is a comeback year. Last season was the first time in years the Broncos did not make the playoffs. With a new head coach, Vance Joseph, the team is focused on having a good season. Last night, Trevor Siemian, rookie quarterback, had 2 touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Brandon McManus, kicker had one field goal and 3 PAT made. That was just enough to stop the Chargers and their late 4th quarter comeback. The Broncos edged the Chargers 24-21 in the first game of the season. This was a nice start to the season and a relief for any Broncos fan like myself. NFL football season is now in full swing.
