The NCAA men’s basketball game came to a conclusion last night as North Carolina came out with a win. The game ended 65 to 71 as Gonzaga had a heartbreaking loss. It was very close the entire game, going back and forth but North Carolina was able to pull away when it mattered most.
A player that really stood out was Joel Berry II for North Carolina. He scored 22 points and had 6 assists. He was named the MVP and scored the most points in the game. He also played great defense and was an entity every time he was on the court.
Two other players that stood out for North Carolina were, Justin Jackson and Isaiah Hicks. The two combined for 29 points and were very helpful offensively, they also played solid defense.
On the other side, Nigel Williams-Goss was the lead scorer for Gonzaga with 15 points. He also got 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Gonzaga was kept in the game with their high percentage three point shooting.
The game was very close and the stats show for it. All of the stats are relatively close except for one crucial stat that probably cost Gonzaga the game. North Carolina only had 4 turnovers, whereas Gonzaga had an overwhelming 14.
It was a great game with a lot of momentum changes. In the end the Bulldogs couldn’t come out on top. North Carolina proved superior.
