We all know the Chicago cubs had a fabulous win against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday but there was a big fan in the stands cheering them on.
Lester Michel, 93, has been Cubs fan since television was even available; “In 1980, there was an all-star game in Chicago. And I was there,” said Michels.
He would listen to the Cubs play by only hearing it air on the radio, since then, he has never forgotten a game, and explained that he will never forget a player.
“Ernie Banks and Fergie Jenkins. Those are some of the old time good hitters,” said Michels.
Michels captures moments by collecting valuable things, whether it be tshirts, socks, or even his toaster.
“Even your Cardinals fans, which I don’t like very much, they’re even rooting for the Cubs this year,” said Michels.
He loves every moment of watching the Cubs play and makes sure he sits there for every single game; explaining that it doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old, this is the year to watch.
