A Minnesota Company has now created a .038 caliber pistol that looks exactly like a phone.
This pistol will be able to fire 2 bullets before it has to be reloaded and it folds up neatly into a Samsung Galaxy S7 look alike.
This 3 by 5 inch gun will be plastic on its outer shell while also having a metal barrel, trigger and hammer.
The creator Kirk Kjellberg had founded the idea after entering a restaurant with a concealed weapon saying “A boy spotted me in the restaurant and said loudly, ‘Mommy, Mommy, that guy’s got a gun!’ And then pretty much the whole restaurant stared at me.”
Kirk has created a facebook page and has gained the attention of 13,000 likes and 4,000 people around the world have expressed an interest in buying it.
But along with all these perks there have been many concerns expressed with this invention of Kirk’s.
One Concern is that it can pose a security threat at airports, but Kirk later commented saying that “It’s kind of an erroneous idea that this is any different from any other pistol, because when you run it through an x-ray, it has barrels and triggers and hammers — all the things other guns have. It has enough metal in it that it can’t escape the metal detector.”
You are not the only one with concerns to, the Department of Homeland Security contacted Kirk to be sure that police and airport security are able to distinguish the difference between a cell phone and a cell phone gun on x-ray.
This cellular weapon will be hitting the market during October with the price tag of $395.
