Legalizing medical marijuana is one more step closer than it was ever in the state of Iowa.
A bill to pass with manufacturing, selling and distributing of cannabis oil has passed the House Commerce Committee.
This can stay alive when non-budget bills must pass in full committees in either the House or the Senate.
At first, the House bill called for the state of department of health to issue licenses to four cannabis manufacturers, and that these people could dispense cannabis oils.
Older than this, doctors to prescribe cannabis oil for needed to have more than 10 conditions.
In 2014, technically in Iowa cannabis oil was perfectly legal to be prescribed to patients with epilepsy, but nonetheless it hasn’t gone much further than that.
As of right now though, it is illegal to bring cannabis oil in, or purchase it from the state.
