Sam Uthoff’s (16′) cousin was named to Wooden Midseason Top 25, which is really, really good. The Wooden award is given to the Best player in college basketball, and Jarrod is putting Iowa on the College Basketball map.

The Senior is averaging 18.4 points per season, 3.3 blocks per game (which is 3rd in the Nation) and 6.4 rebounds per game. He’s been a rock for Iowa all year long; when all else fails, you can guarantee Jarrod is scoring.

Obviously, Jarrod will have some tough competition, notably Denzel Valentine of Michigan, who was also named to the Midseason list. If Jarrod can stay healthy and continue his excellent consistency, we could see a legit Tourney run, 1st round NBA draft pick and a Wooden award winner in Iowa City. Go Hawks.
